Life Has No Remote

I read a quote that a friend posted and it went like this: Life has no remote. Get up and change it yourself. (author was Mark A. Cooper)

This quote really resonated with me as I think so many people get caught up in the place of being unhappy where they are. They get into a perpetual rut or become obsessed with complaining or judging where they are. They feel stuck and don’t know how to move forward or even sideways.

We all have the option of choice. I just came back from a retreat where we discussed several such topics. One of those was to be a ridiculous champion for your frequency/vibration. What is meant by this is to basically, every minute of every day, make sure you are upping your game and focusing on the things that make you feel good and move you forward or expand forward.

The reason this is so important is because, if you focus on all the ugh things that are happening in your life, that is how you feel. And the more you focus on it, the more of it that will come into your life. So, if what you place your attention on attracts more of that into your life, wouldn’t you want to focus on the things that are good, positive, and joyful? I know I definitely would.

So how does this tie into the quote and why did it hit me this morning and make me write about it? I have been going through some contemplative items over the past while. What I realized is that I’m too in my head and the thinking is keeping me spinning and swirling. It feels like I wasn’t getting on with things. So, I could sit there, spinning and swirling or I can “get up and change it”. The choice is really mine but to do nothing but sit there changes nothing as action is always necessary to move in any direction.

So today after reading the quote I decided to change things myself and take action by focusing on what I want out of life. One of those things was writing a blog post in hopes that it will inspire all reading it to take some action today toward positive momentum forward.

I would love it if you left me a note telling me what action you decided to take.
